Y’all want to hear a funny story? I had a friend text me the other day asking if it was a faux pas to wear her over the knee boots with ripped denim. I immediately replied saying, “yes it is, you want it to look clean”. Well here I am not listening to my own rule and I have been loling ever since. I do think if they were just knee rips it would be a different story and I do still believe if I were wearing my plain white denim, it would look cleaner. None the less I wanted to go for an eddy look to style this tunic. I have been reaching for comfortable tops lately and when I spotted this long sleeve, soft top, I knew I had to add it to my collection. It comes in three colors, has pockets, and 25% off.
I did want to mention these over the knee boots since they are so comfortable to walk in! I have had my eye on brown over the knee boots all season but couldn’t decide which ones to get exactly. I love the color on these and luckily, they are on sale. I now have black, grey/taupe, and brown OTK boots and I think I’m set. I do want to note these do slide down a little and crunch up – you can tell in the photos!
If you saw on IG, our travel plans have changed! The poor husband woke up with a fever before our flight so we decided to push back our plans a couple of days so he can rest. I don’t blame his poor body, we have been going non stop, so yesterday was a perfect day to lay around and watch The Crown.
I just can’t stop with the bombers this year since Houston has been 90+ degrees and I’m easily able to take jackets on and off. I have been loving the monochromatic look and especially the lighter hues for some reason. Spring colors, or I like to call them winter whites, has officially gotten the best of me.
I did want to mention this clutch since I currently have been purse hunting and just realized, I grab this one way too much. I typically am a gigantic purse kinda girl and try to stay away from colors but this light pink clutch has been an exception. If you’re on the market for one this ones also a wallet on a chain.
Happy Monday! We all survived the Holidays. I hope you had a restful, eventful Christmas weekend. Ours was insane / hectic to say the least. We stayed in Sugar Land (we both grew up 5 minutes from each other) the entire week and it was non stop. We finally got home late last night and today we are off an another adventure. We both have been looking at each other like are we really doing this? Be sure to follow along on snapchat (dederaad) / social media to see where we end up!
This outfit SCREAMS classy yet sassy. I mean… need I say more. I wanted to share my Christmas outfit with you all and wish you a very Merry Christmas from the Dress Up Buttercup family. This year, I decided against the elegance associated with a dress and went for something a little more playful. ATTENTION folks, this is not a dress (even though it looks like one). I got each piece in the mail at the same time and thought they would work together perfectly. This top compliments just about every skirt in my closet #versatility. I actually forgot this skirt back at home, so for real life Christmas, I am subbing in this one. I typically find my unique skirts from Chic-wish, and this case is no exception. One thing I’d like to point out with both retailers (SheIn and Chicwish) is that shipping can be a waiting game. They do say good things come to those who wait.
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, and I can’t wait to hear about your wonderful holidays. Thank you for allowing me to play a part in your lives (no matter how small). I am looking forward to continuing our friendship in the new year. Blessed is an understatement!!
