Top 8 Best of 2017

Skirt: Goodnight Macaroon | Earrings: Etsy | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: David Yurman | Bracelet: David Yurman

Ok crazy enough this skirt has been my top item for 2016 and 2017. Literally I kept this skirt just because of how crazy it went off everytime I posted it. Definetly a crowd favorite so I had to start off with it!

Top: Banana Republic | Skirt: Nordstrom | Purse: Gucci | Earrings: Anthropologie |Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: David Yurman | Bracelet: David Yurman

I clearly am such a skirt or dress girl and I love that you all went crazy over them too! This velvet skirt was a show stopper, especially on top of NYC. It sold out FAST when I posted it but it’s actually back fully in stock!

Dress: Something Navy (xs) | Boots: Stuart Weitzman (similar) | Purse: Gucci | Earrings: Nordstrom| Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: David Yurman | Bracelet: David Yurman

I wore this Something Navy dress in Boston on our way to Vermont and it went off. This was probably my most liked photo of the year and idk if it was the pumpkins or the outfit haha! No but really I saw so many different pictures of you girls wearing this dress and it was a show stopper. Perfect knit sweater dress!

Flannel: Madewell | Jeans: Free People | Boots: Kendall + Kylie | Jacket: Free People (holding it) |Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: David Yurman | Bracelet: David Yurman | Earrings: Tory Burch

Was so suprised by how many of you LOVED this flannel. Like I was flabergasted haha! I thought it was just a cute normal flannel but no it was a huge hit! I guess sometimes I need to stop being so extra with my outfits and share the casual days too haha! Also these jeans were my absolute favorite purchase of 2017, so flattering!

Dress: Top Shop  Size: 4 | Boots: Nordstrom   Size: 7.5 | Purse: Gucci | Earrings: Nordstrom| Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: David Yurman | Bracelet: David Yurman

Ok, I posted this dress twice on my feed (rare thing I do) and both did just as good! This sweater dress is my favorite to grab and go. Like so soft, comfy, and comes in grey / this pretty pink. I bought both colors because it’s such an easy piece to dress up or down!

Cardigan: Sole Society | Dress: BP.  | Boots: Steve Madden | Purse:  Gucci | Watch: Michael Kors| Bracelet: David Yurman | Bracelet: David Yurman

These over the knee boots were the biggest hit this year. I mentioned them in yesterdays post but they have been my most asked about, popular boots. Such a steal of a price and stays up so well! They saved me from buying the SW this season! The heel is also so comfortable I walked all over NYC with them!

Dress: Leith | Jacket: Mural | Boots: Kendall + Kylie | Purse: Givenchy | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: David Yurman | Bracelet: David Yurman

So this bandaged dress was a hit. I have it in this grey and then in black ( shown in belows photo). I styled it so many different ways, it is probably my most verstile piece in my closet! Also it’s so flattering and has a ruched waist!

Jacket: Trove | Dress: Leith  | Boots: Kelsi Dagger | Suitcase: Delsey |Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: David Yurman | Bracelet: David Yurman

Last but not least, this was everyones suitecase this year! It’s also so durable and you would think it would get all scracthed up but it really holds up SO WELL!

Yall, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for following along and letting me share my day to day outfits with you all! You have no idea how incredibly blessed I feel. This year was a big one and I am floored by everything that has happened this year. So much growth and so much more growing to go. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your everyday life. Like you have no earthly idea!

My Go To Pieces

Sweater:  Top Shop  | Leggings: BP.    | Boots:  Steve Madden   | Beanie: Natasha | Bag: Givenchy | Earrings: JCrew | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: David Yurman | Bracelet: David Yurman

Y’all, I honestly have worn this outfit 3 different times in the last 2 weeks. I decided I should actually share the outfit with you all since they have been my go to pieces! It’s no surprise I got everything from Nordstrom! It really hasn’t been extremely cold in Texas yet so now it’s time to stock up on winter items from Nord! This really has been an outfit that has kept me warm during the colder days and it’s practical to walk around town in or go to events! Anyways, I’ll break it down piece by piece so hopefully, this helps!

Sweater: Ok I love an oversized, warm, big comfy sweater. I love the pattern on this sweater. I feel like it makes me feel like I put some effort in getting dressed today.

Leggings: Ok these are under $20 and soooo great for the price! I wore them on the plane home from NYC too and thought how crazy comfortable they are. I love the sleek leather look it gives with this outfit!

Boots: You probably have noticed I wear these over the knee boots way too much! They actually where the most asked about shoe in 2017 from you all! I love that SO MANY of you all hoped on the train and love them just as much. I honestly was going to invest in some black expensive boots this season but once I got these, I decided to hold off. These are just as great!

Beanie: The mickey mouse beanie is one of my favorite accessories this time of year! Not just one pom pom, but two that will put a smile on anyone’s face. I think it makes any outfit that much better!

2018 New Year Resolution

Leggings: Zella | Pullover: Madewell | Shoes: Adidas | Gym Bag: Long Champ

Honestly, this fitness post is mainly for me to keep me accountable for the New Year lol. I know it’s pretty cliche of me to have fitness goals for 2018 but WHY NOT be cliche if it’s going to motivate you. I have been in a good healthy routine and making healthy eating choices off and on ALL YEAR LONG. One month I would kill it and one month I would be a total slob. With the holidays and December travels being so busy, slob r us has been me! I think over the years of my fitness journey, I have learned what motivates me and what does not. I wanted to share below in case you are also on the struggle bus like me!

  • Gym Membership: We have a gym downstairs in our building but it’s not the best. There is like 5 pieces of equipment and it’s pretty dark. Ever since I got a membership from Equinox, it really has motivated me to get my booty to the gym. It’s such a fresh open space and a fun environment. I also live 6 minutes away so really I have no excuse.
  • Accountability: when I was working out consistently I had accountability partners to meet me at the gym. 90% off the time when I don’t feel like going to the gym, I have absolutely no excuse. I can’t bail on my partner 90% of the time so typically I just show up.
  • Schedule: Make it a date and you won’t miss it. Our schedules get so busy that if I don’t set a routine on when to go, I won’t. This also is when classes come into play. Equinox offers some of my favorite classes every so if I sign up for it, I better go!
Unmotivates Me:
  • Extreme Workouts: not my cup of tea. I don’t enjoy them and I know I would dread it then eventually not go.
  • By myself: Working out alone is no fun. I love catching up with people and working out is the perfect place to do so! Even if it’s with a trainer as crazy as that sounds lol
  • Crowded gym: I think the worst thing ever is showing up when there are a million and one people in the gym fighting over machines. My last gym was a madhouse. Equinox always feels empty so that helps!

A Little Sparkle

Shirt: Jcrew | Skirt: TopShop  (SALE)  | Shoes:  Christian Louboutin  | Bag: Sole Society

For the New Year I always like to bring out my best. This year husband got me red soles for Christmas and I am obsessed! He gave them to me before Christmas and I wore them all weekend and surprisingly they were SO comfortable. Growing up I always thought that the higher the heel, the better you look but in reality, it’s not practical to walk around in 6 inch heels. I finally found a good height for heels where I will actually grab and wear them! I found these babes at Nordstrom and love that they carry such high-end designer items! I always wait until I purchase a designer item from Nordstrom to use a triple points day!

Another red sole shoe tip that I shared on my IG stories over the weekend, is that I get a red rubber on the sole of my shoe to protect the red from chipping. I called around like 5 shoe stores in Houston and they all would do it / knew what I was talking about. I just picked the one that would do it the fastest! It’s honestly a rubber sticker that they glue to the top of the shoe and you can see it a little in the last photo! My first red bottom shoes, no one told me and they are all chipped up, so I hope this helps!
