Introducing: Build Up Buttercup!

We’re so excited to invite businesses from all over the US to be a part of Build Up Buttercup. While we wish there was room for everyone, we can only accommodate a select number of applicants at this time. Our application process will determine which businesses will be selected to join us at the event. Before you apply, take a look at what the process will entail to ensure this is something you and your business are interested in and able to follow.

  • Available to travel to Houston, TX October 27-29th, 2022
  • Background check
  • Legal U.S Resident
  • 18+ years or older (minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian)
  • Business accessible online/plans to bring business online
  • Ability to self-fund all travel accommodations(hotel, flight, etc)
  • Must be willing to sign Media Release Form

1. Check Eligibility Requirements. Before you apply, please check the requirements below and ensure you are eligible. This will save all of us time! 

Requirements:

  • Business accessible online/plans to bring business online

2. Gather Documents & Submit Application Form. Before submitting your application, look over the form fully and gather all information/required documents carefully to ensure everything is accurate and up-to-date. If you have questions regarding your application,  reach out to [email protected] and one of our team members will assist you. This form is our first look at your business and your first pitch, so pack it with all those amazing details that we know you have! 

3. Discovery. During the next couple weeks, our team will work with our VC partner Curate Capital  to review each application closely. We may reach out via email if we need more information to complete the review of your application so please check your email periodically. 

4. Callbacks. Once we have the first pool of candidates, we will contact you to let you know you’ve made it past the first round and set up a phone call to discuss the process further! During callbacks, you will also be asked to submit a 3 minute video where you have the chance to tell us more about you and your company. Clips of this could be shared on socials so don’t be afraid to get creative! 

5. Check your email, the official invites have arrived! After callbacks are completed, we will send the official “yes” or “no” regarding your selection to attend the event. From that time on, we will be in close contact up until the day of the event to make sure you are ready to go and prepared to pitch your idea.
