Casual Chicago.

Jeans: Gap (on sale) | Booties: Lucky (but I’ve been eyeing these for days) | Denim Jacket: Forever 21 | Scarf: JCrew  (30% off with code SHOPSALE)

A casual look for being a tourist in Chicago our first day. These girlfriend distressed jeans are super comfortable and a perfect color for fall. I got them a tad bit too big so I would recommend going down a size since they stretch majorly. I never saw myself as falling into the denim jacket trend but I don’t regret diving in and joining the trend with this outfit. You just won’t ever see me wearing two denims in one set lol & can’t forget this chunky cable scarf that is on sale at JCrew.

You’ll never guess our first stop in Chicago. Deep dish of course at Giordano’s (the worlds best so they say). It was amazing pizza but Ted was kind of in love. We did some shopping & exploring on Mag Mile which was right next to our hotel Mile North Hotel that we loved. We then met up with our lovely friends who were celebrating their one year anniversary. We crashed their dinner at Bandera which I loved the atmosphere & food was a plus. We ended the night on our hotels rooftop bar which had AMAZING views.

SHIRT: Madewell | CARDIGAN: Topshop (on sale) | HAT: Floppy | BOOTIES: Vince Camuto (similar) JEANS: Destroyed (MAJOR SALE)

I love a simple white tee paired with destroyed jeans and booties for the transition to fall, but what is even better is a light weight cardigan to top the look off. The hat was a plus 🙂  I love the green color of this cardigan and it is 20% off. The jeans are also on a SUPER sale at 40% off. Snag these goodies before they are gone!

Today, hubby and I are on our way to Chicago, the windy city! We are so ecstatic! We have never been to Chicago before and it has been on our list for years. I was lucky to win Go Blog Social tickets to their pop up conference this Saturday! I can’t wait to learn more about the blog world and improve on this little home of mine. I may or may not be dragging hubby along, he should learn too right?! I just want to get him as excited as I am to the blog world. Any Chicago recommendations? I would love to hear from you! How easy is this costume? Pretty easy I’ll tell ya! All I had to do was find some overalls (snagged some cute ones above from Amazon) threw on a flannel, added some Hunter boots & WALLAH. Then added some scarecrow makeup, because they wear make up duh. I mixed up different make up looks on Pinterest and added pig tails. The hay was laying around the house from my fall decorations so it was an added touch. Would love to see what you come up with for Halloween! #dressuphalloween

Also as mentioned on Instagram, is price matching Hunter boots for a major discount. All you have to do is either call customer service or live chat with Nordstrom online asking to price match Hunter boots from Costco and they will! Only catch is Costco must have your size and color preferred available. Costco price is $79.99 compared to $150.00.  I have read this trick online and just checked with live chat and it worked, so hope it works out for you! Doesn’t hurt to try 🙂 (Bummer I already have these boots or I would def take advantage of this deal)

How fun is this Pocahontas inspired Halloween shoot. Halloween has to probably be my favorite holiday coordinating outfits from my closet & coming up with fun ideas. I had such a blast coordinating this outfit in less than 5 minutes! Lol all I had to do is get this fabulous skirt from Nordstrom and the rest was just in my closet with additional red stripes on my face. Would love to see your DIY Halloween costumes you come up with hashtag #dressuphalloween
