I thought I would share my Christmas decor on this happy Monday! A lot of the items shown have been collected over the past couple seasons. Christmas decor is probably my favorite time in the Raad house. It makes me so warm and fuzzy inside (maybe a little weird). Our decor this year was inspired by a winter wonderland since Texas gets no snow and I am obsessed with snow. I am so obsessed with snow that we planned a Boston trip, as we speak, because we wanted to see snow this year.

My color palette was white with some blue hues, silver and some greenery. The greenery on my dining room table is real from a nursery down the street. Since we have an artificial tree, I thought a real pine needle garland would fit the winter wonderland theme and give the smell of Christmas. With some silver bells of course.

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas decor! I believe that home decor is very similar to fashion. Both are an expression of art and style. My mom always decorated for the holidays but it wasn’t until High School when I worked for an interior design “mom and pa” shop where my passion for decor flourished.  I use to spend summers pricing Christmas Decor and my entire Christmas I would live at the interior shop during our busiest time of the year. Oh how grateful I am for my time at The Magnolia house where shortly later I learned how obsessed I was with being a creative entrepreneur. The Lord knew that is where I needed to be through out High School and led me to where I am today.

During College I was blessed to be a part of the wedding industry at Chateau Cocomar where design also played a part. I believe a wedding table and the design of a wedding really expressed the bride and grooms taste. I have been so fortunate enough to experience interior design and wedding design that led me to fashion design. They all play and coincide together.

Cheers to us creatives! Thanks for stopping by Buttercups and hope you enjoyed my Christmas decor.

Sweater Dress: Glamorous V Neck | Boots: Ivanka Trump  (sale)| Earrings: Kendra Scott (sale) | Lipstick: NARS

Who doesn’t love a sweater that’s a dress? Especially when this sweater dress has a darling deep v neck line to give it a girly touch. I am loving that it comes in white for a winter light look or in navy. You probably all know by now I am all about comfy and this dress has comfy written all over it (with a side of chic of course). I mean how darling?? I could probably live in this dress if I could, but then again, what would be the fun in living in one outfit everyday? That is like wearing a uniform that I am not about. Anyways, these Ivanka Trump boots are what I have been living in this season and they are on sale for around $100. You can’t beat that price for that style! You also can’t forget this NARS lipstick color that I can’t live without.

Thanks buttercups for stopping by & happy Friday! We have a progressive dinner tonight that we have been planning for our church and we are so excited! Progressive dinner is a dinner where each house has a separate course prepared (appetizers, main meal, and dessert). Then Saturday Ted and I are finally getting on a plane somewhere! It has been a while and I have been so antsy about our trip. We are going to Boston for the first time! We originally planned Boston since we have never been and we like to plan a trip where there is snow but it looks like there won’t be snow, so that was a fail 🙂 lol. Anyways if you have any Boston recommendations, I would love to hear them!

I think I love this bow dress simply because of the structure of the dress. This dress can be flattering on all different body types and who doesn’t go crazy over a cute bow on the back?! The color is what sold me on this darling piece since I needed some color in my life this season. I paired this dress with some ankle strap heels that I think are a staple all year round. It’s obviously not hot here in Houston yet so I can do what I want!

Thank you for stopping by Buttercups. Means the world! I hope you have a happy Thursday. Today my mother and 4 of my aunts are coming over so I have to get the house in tip top shape! I also can’t believe Christmas is exactly a week away.

Ostrich Feather Skirt: Pink Martini Collection c/o | Dress/Shirt: Velvet Dress | Purse: Michael Kors | Earrings: Kendra Scott | Shoes: Jessica Simpson (on sale) | Coat:Kenneth Cole (on sale)

This ostrich feather skirt is what I am raving about this holiday season. Thanks to Pink Martini Collection, they have so many fabulous outfits to choose from. This ostrich feather skirt is sadly sold out BUT they have a similar look as a dress here that I am dying over. I know you could rock that dress to ring in the New Year.

There is also a little trick I love with tight dresses and skirts that I will let you in on. I LOVE purchasing dresses and adding skirts over the dress. This velvet top is actually a dress that I adore and I usually end up adding some festive top to add an umph to the outfit. This ostrich feather skirt really topped this outfit and I cain’t wait to wear this look to a holiday party. Plus when you purchase dresses that allow you to create this look, it gives you an extra look for your buck which I think is genius.

Thank you for stopping by Buttercup! I hope you have a happy Wednesday. Ted and I have had a major bum holiday the past two days and we plan to for the rest of the week. Unwinding down (hybernating) this holiday season amongst the chaos is kind of our tradition.
