Festive Look

Skirt: Tularosa | Sweater: Fifth Label | Shoes: Sam Edelman | Bag: Givenchy

I don’t think it’s ever too early to start thinking of all our Friendsgiving / Thanksgiving festive looks. I recieved a few messages about what to wear and one pretty lady in particular said she wants it to be “fun, festive, comfy”! Umm yes please sign me up! I came across this skirt and thought it was so darling and festive. A knit skirt with pom poms all over makes me smile! I added a comfy sweater to “casual” it up for the ultimate party look. I so would wear this to Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving!

I need to start planning our holiday calendar of events! I usually am on top of it and by now have the rest of the year planned. The past couple years in our town home we use to host Friendsgiving at our place but that was with 50+ people and I dont think everyone would fit in our tiny condo this year! We also need a dining room table so that would be a start. Ted and I went around town yesterday looking at some options so baby steps!

Cozy Sweater Under $50

Sweater: BP | Jeans: Topshop (on sale) | Shoes: Kendall & Kylie  | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: David Yurman | Bracelet: David Yurman | Earrings: Nordstrom

If there is one sweater you are going to need this season, I would grab this babe FAST! I seriously wore it 3 times while in Dallas over the weekend because it was so comfy and darling! First, chenille in general is a huge trend right now but not only is it a trend, it is soooooo cozy. I am very particular when it comes to how clothes feel on my body, like I won’t wear a itchy sweater even if it was the cutest sweater around! This sweater is so warm and so soft! I will round up a bunch of my favorite Chenille sweaters below. Nordstrom has an amazing selection of overall sweaters but they have an even better selection of chenille sweaters for like under $50! You can check out Nordstrom sweater selection here and the sweater above here (comes in this pretty “green jasper” or “burgundy royale”)! The sleeves also make it so much fun! I am wearing a size small!

Also, I got so excited when Nordstrom restocked these booties! They are now available in all sizes and are so much fun! The pointy toe gives such a statement and they are so comfortable to walk in!

Happy Monday boos! I have a feeling it’s going to be a good week! Especially since husband is back for a week and the time change is making it super easy for me to go to bed and an early time and wake up early! Let’s see how long that’ll last!

Fall florals really did steal the show when I wore this babe out to a thanksgiving feast event on Monday night! The event was hosted by Swift and Company which is a rental company here in Houston. Funny enough the event was held in their warehouse in the flower room and this sweater top was PERFECT for the occasion. It is a light throw on sweater that I know will get worn multiple times during this season. Would be perfect with slacks for your office job or just I paired them with skinny jeans for a night out.

I know this sweater can be considered a little pricey and I am looking into starting to shop for items $100 or even $50 less. I want to share items that are reasonably priced and I know over $100 is not the case for some of you! I have been thinking about this a lot lately since I tend to have expensive taste and my sister pointed it out. What really opened my eye was when a reader accidentally shared my account with me and said I was “expensive but still cute” lol! I am not offended by any means but I want to be a resource to ALL of you and not just some. A resource / inspiration is what I strive to be for you, especially going into the Holidays!

Enjoy your weekend babes. HUSBAND COMES BACK TO AMERICA TODAY and I could not be more excited!!

Denim and Black

Shirt: Madewell | Skirt: Top Shop | Hat: Halogen | Shoes: Johnston & Murphy | Purse: Gucci | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: David Yurman | Bracelet: David Yurman

Ok recently I have had so many tan shoes that I realized I should pick me up some black booties. They actually surprisingly were harder to style until I came across a look like this on Pinterest. Yes, I go to Pinterest for inspiration ever so often because sometimes I just get in a rut! Recently a lot of the clothes I have been getting in has not inspired nor excites me. I have been sharing only the items that I adore and doing LOTS of returns . Maybe it’s just this transitional period of waiting for it to get cold outside. Anyways, if you are ever in a rut about how to style something, that is what I am here for! You can take a look at my feed and blog and I hope to be some inspiration to you similar to how Pinterest is too me.  You probably have all 3 of these items in your closest so super easy to recreate for a dinner date with friends or the boy!

Happy November! I can’t believe only two more months of 2017 is upon us. WHERE HAS TIME GONE?! I am headed on a road trip to Dallas and super excited to get out Houston! I have been keeping myself SUPER busy but excited to do the same in Dallas with some friends and family!

PS you can follow me on Pinterest here!
