I know 2 friends getting engaged this month and wedding season is definitely upon us! I thought I would share this dress that I have had my eye on that I LOVED. I had a couple girls ask me about sending them dress suggestions for their bridal festivities and I couldn’t get my mind off this dress. I originally saw it in coral, which is gorgeous, but the ivory lace is even more gorgeous in person. If I was a bride, I would seriously wear this to my engagement party, bridal shower, bridal brunch, rehearsal dinner, or any other excuse to wear me some white. The high neck line works on all types of body types and I swear the dress feels like a million buck but in reality it’s A STEA of a price. I would highly send your engaged friend this post and let them see experience this dress for themselves!
This gem is a Modcloth find which is my go to for unique dresses. They also have an amazing wedding section here. I also snagged these sunnies that I have found myself grabbing lately over my KW. They just make me happy and they are pink! I also sized down to an XS on the dress but it was a tad tight haha! So if you are on the fence, stay true to size!
Happy Friday babes! I had such a great productive week. How was your week? Ted and I also ordered a couch which was a huge deal around here. Things are rocking and rolling, and we couldn’t be more excited!
First, I think white on white is so timeless, it’ll never go out of style. I styled a white on white look here for Winter (still living in this sweater), so I thought I would do it again for Summer! I just got these shorts and they have to be one of my favs. I probably will be wearing them all season long! I also grab this tank like every stinking chance I get. I need to order a couple more white ones since I can’t keep white clean to save my life. I also shared that cactus is trending (here) along with neck scarves (here) in previous posts. Well I found a gem that is a 2 in one and I couldn’t wait to wear it! I think it gives this outfit just the right amount of accessory pop, if you know what I mean!
Ted got a call yesterday that he is leaving to South Korea for a week. I am going to miss the kid so much, so we have been trying to spend as much time together! Last night we had a fun date night to Adair Kitchen and then walked to CVS for some dessert. We have so much traveling coming up and majority of the trips are not together so it’s bittersweet. He has been wanting to travel for work for the past year so he got so excited when he got the call that he has been assigned to go. I would totally go with him if the flight wasn’t so long and if I knew someone in South Korea. He probably will be busy working the entire time so I keep telling myself I need to keep my booty home and get stuff done around the house instead!
You probably know by now that my precious sister is graduating Texas A&M this semester and we couldn’t be more proud. My family is a tad shocked that she actually did it! Sister is the wild child in the family and we don’t know how she juggled school, bartending at Chimys, flight lessons, traveling the world, and having so many friends. I am so excited for her to come back home and start her commercial pilot license. If any of you have your license or are working on it, let us know! She started a cute Flying with Katy IG here and I am so proud of her! I’ll just share one graduation photo of her below just bc I took her grad photos! Ok, I’ll stop gushing over her now!
I know we all can think of at least someone who will be graduating this year. That may mean college, high school, middle school, or even pre k! There always is something special to celebrate others accomplishments! I typically revert to dresses or maybe even an outfit like this one, for special occasions such as a graduation. I have rounded up a diverse selection of dresses wether it is YOU graduating (congrats) or you are attending a graduation party or ceremony. Cheers to this season!
Oh & I choose my 2 favorite retailers that has free 2 or 3 day shipping since I know grad is like this weekend! If you’re like me, I always wait until last minute too!
UHH how cute did these “gingham with the girls” shots come out? The gingham trend is coming in hot hot hot so we wanted to all share some of our favorite gingham pieces together! I love how we all showed up reflecting our own style and a little bit of Memorial Day inspiration (which is only a few weeks away). You know I am a sucker for these tanks, I grab them anytime I have an attention getter bottom to even out the outfit. I think the high-rise on these shorts + the frills can be flattering on any body type.
PS how cute are my friends gingham outfits below?!
Lynlee from Gal About Town, is just too darn cute for words, in her blue gingham dress that screams summer loving. I also am obsessed with her $10 gingham head scarf that I stole on the trip lol! I posted it last night because I think it is just the cutest thing around. She also is the queen of fun earrings and I love how she added a pop of red with her Kenneth Jay Lane. The girl has them in every color, I think I need to step up my game!
Amanda from The Miller Affect just needs some sunflowers in her hand and she will be set for some sunflower picking, hot summer day look! Her off the shoulder gingham is so on trend and I love how it’s red! Her white denim shorts are for a steal of a price, and her Cult Gaia IT bag tops off the outfit. I stole this bag a couple of times on the trip as well lol! I definitely need to pull the trigger and get this bag myself!
