Under Eye Treatment

So first you can read here, my thoughts on sharing with intention. If you remember a couple weeks ago, I scheduled a couple beauty appointments for my “birthday” and wanted to take you all along. I loved everyones response on what they were interested in, but I also felt this overwhelming pressure to not want to share. I had this fear I would send the wrong message that you need this, this, or that, in order to feel good about yourself. In no way, shape, or form do I want you to think that. I also don’t want you to think that I have insecurities and I am not confident in my own skin. Trust me, I am, or I don’t think this blog would exist! Of course, like every human being out there, there are areas where I think could improve. I also don’t usually second guess myself or overthink much so when this topic came about, I don’t know why I was. Maybe because in my world, it’s taboo to share. Anywho, I have overcome my fear since everyone was so nice when reaching out, and I am so excited to share my under eye results! I am actually a SUCKER when it comes to needles or anything medical related. I legit threw up and shed tears last time I was at the doctor. Anxiety gets the best of me in this field, so this was my first ever treatment.

I had a friend tell me about Mia Plastic Surgery and I basically called and interviewed them before I set the appointment lol. When I went in for a consultation, the staff made me feel incredibly comfortable and their beautiful office was right down the road! After many hours of research, I found that Dr. Phi was the best of the best!

Katy was the esthetician who did my particular laser treatment and was sure to answer all and every question I had. We did a live session during our visit and she explained / answered everything, so I will include the video to my dropbox link here, it is very helpful!  After my consultation we decided that fractional laser was what would be best to help with my concerns for my under eyes. My mother is Middle Eastern and dark circles, fine lines, extra skin, etc., is definitely hereditary! This treatment also helps with acne scars, sun spots, etc., and can be done to  your entire face. It is a quick rubber band pop and did not hurt! I would prefer this over needles any day.

I definitely do see a difference in my under eyes and could not be happier with the results. The best part is with the laser treatment, there isn’t maintenance. It can be a one time treatment depending on how much you protect it by using SPF. Dr. Phi also added fillers to my under eye after the treatment to reduce the hollowness look that was causing the dark shadows. Fillers do need to be maintained every 6-8 months. I was amazed at the instant results of the fillers. The laser treatments true result does take up to 2 months – so that is mainly why this blog post also took so long! I will share on IG stories later today a live video result so you can get a better picture!

Make sure to watch the video here! I wasn’t planning on sharing the video with you all but I realized she did a LOT better job explaining it than I ever could. It really is helpful for any questions you may have or reach out to Mia Plastic Surgery!

I also have decided to put together a Houston beauty guide after my birthday week so you can find all the places I visited and loved in one spot! It will be under the Shop page or here. I will be sure to update it often!

Top: Sun & Shadow | Shorts: GRLFRND | Shoes: Tory Burch | Clutch: Sole Society | Watch: Sole Society | Earrings: Kenneth Jay  | Sunnies: Karen Walker

I wanted to share this 35 dollar top before it sells out completely! It comes in two colors and has a pretty crochet detailing. It is an oversized fit so I recommend sizing down, I wish I went with an xs! Anywho, it was the perfect throw on tank in Cabo and I believe I will be wearing it around town with some jeans as well. I feel like this outfit would have been cuter with white jeans but I still do love these white shorts. I wanted to share a mess up on an outfit with you all so you kinda can understand my thought process and discover for yourself what you think! Since the top is oversized, it overwhelmed the shorts and in some photos looks like I maybe not wearing shorts, hence why its tucked in. With jeans, it would have been more cleaner and wouldn’t have to worry about that. I also was in Cabo so jeans were not an option lol!

I’m human and yes I do mess up on my outfits but none the less it’s not the end of the world and I may wear this look again (I mean it’s not bad). I just wanted to point out how I think it could have looked better! Thoughts?

Happy Monday! How was your easter weekend? Hubs and I had a great weekend spending it with lots of friends and family. I’m working on a couple of my beauty posts for this week today so be sure to keep an eye out for that!

I wanted to share a recap of our trip to the JW Marriott in Los Cabos. We have heard so much about Cabo over the past couple years that we were dying to go check it out for ourselves! I feel like Cabo comes up in just about every vacay conversation and now we can at least say, we went?

Have you all needed a vacation where you just sat around and did nothing? Well, this one was it for us haha. At first, we had a long list of things we wanted to do when we went to Cabo, and then we walked into this resort, and immediately changed our minds.  It was probably one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. Everything was so modern and every detail was payed attention too. Before arriving to the hotel we had all these restaurant recommendations and sea lion or whale watching excursions planned in our head, but we realized we just needed a couple of days to sit, and the resort was way too nice to leave.

Rooms: Beautiful! I would ask for the rooms closet to the water that way you are close to everything. The resort is HUGE and you do a lot of walking but everything is so pretty that you don’t really mind. We got the ocean front room and it was so nice just to lay on the balcony and hear the waves crashing. We are such balcony people lol! The rooms it self smelt like mint and they had 2 cleaning services everyday which was nice!

Pool: “Welcome to my office!”, said my favorite waiter Carlos every time we went to the pool. The staff here was incredible and definitely were very attentive to anything you need. They had about 5 (all infinity) different pools, but we spent most of our time at the adult pool with the swim up bar. I loved that they had an adult section. I also think it was the best view of the beach, which by the way, was AHHMAZING!

Beach: People already warned me that you couldn’t swim in the water which was meh to me since I am the happiest in deep blue water. We did spend a lot of time just laying by the beach and soaking up the sounds of the waves. The waves were actually HUGE and we enjoyed watching them. The beach its self was very big and they even have service on the beach, which I LOVED. It was so nice to eat my nachos by the waves.

Food: I am a sucker for bar snacks. I have no idea why but I need to break this craving. I ordered wings, pizza, nachos, bacon, and pizza either for room service or by the beach / pool. The last night we did do a fancy dinner at Café des Artistes. If you are celebrating a birthday this is the place to go. They greeted us with champagne by the piano and decorated our table with confetti. They also surprised me with this huge sparkler, birthday  macaroon set up and sang happy birthday. It was very sweet! We ordered the lobster and it was YUMMM.

We have traveled with a couple before where their main goal was to make as many friends at the resort, do as many activities, and sight seeing. Ted and I were exhausted after that trip and needed a vacation from a vacation. Don’t get me wrong, we love meeting other people at resorts, but this trip, I think we wanted isolation from life. We just shot a lot of photos and ate / drank a lot of food. That is EXACTLY what I think & need when I hear the word vacation.

What kind of vacationer are you?!

Swim 2// Wala Swim | Top: Neimans Last Call | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Earrings: Kenneth Jay

Swim 3// Josephine  | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Earrings: Lisi Lerch

All I wore were one pieces in Cabo and I wanted to share the two that I wore over and over again. First, was this Ted Baker plunged V neck swim. The color is ahhhhmazing! The material is also done really well. I also ordered a white swim since I think they are so clean and this one made all my dreams come true. By the second day on vacation, I was pretty much burnt so I covered myself with this babe.  I actually wore this top to my birthday event last week but I secretly got it for the beach as a white linen cover up!

I am listing some of my favorite one piece swim below and majority are on sale! I also just ordered this babe and I literally cant wait for it to come in the mail. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t get sold out before I get to share it.
