Umm how dreamy is this wrap?! Im obsessed and what is even better it’s only $20. Can you believe that? I have been in love with winter lights and if you are old school about it, I say it’s a trend staying for a while, so get use to it. I didn’t realize how genius traveling with this bad boy was. I always get cold on planes and this is perfect size blanket for warming me up. I have already put in an order for more. This color is also perfect for those summer days when you are traveling and can put this in your purse for the plane ride.
Thanks for stopping by and hip hop hooray for Friday!
OK, if you are like me you walk A LOT around Vegas exploring all that there is to see, so I put together a casual Vegas outfit for you to be inspired by. I usually focus on what I will be wearing out nights in Vegas but a casual exploring outfit is just as important. I used the trend of dressing up Nikes with normal clothes which worked perfectly. I added a flare of faux leather pants and a jean jacket for the ultimate fabric mix. You can say the leather and jean jacket reminds you of a biker but a more biker chic way. A worded tee is always a good idea under risky pairings such as this one. I linked a few of my favorite tees that are priced $10-30. I have had a blast styling tees lately as well. Lets face it, I have a blast styling anything. I am obsessed with what I do and thankful for all of your support and stopping by. Means the world! PS. I will breakdown out Vegas trip in later posts.
Something about all black is so classic chic to me. If I could, I would just buy all black pieces but then again, what is the fun in that?? I fell in love with this Olivia Pope look alike wrap coat that is so different then your average joe coat. It also comes in plenty of other chic colors. For some reason Nordstrom does not provide sizes in a small so I ordered mine from Amazon here. If only the winters weren’t so short in Texas, I would snag the country apple or dove colors. Of course I had to go comfy with some leggings and OTK boots.
This was taken at the Samuel Adams brewery in Boston. This was such a fun beer tasting and a free activity. It was so interesting learning about the beer process. Below is a recap of my favorite recommendations in Boston
Freedom Trail: we only conquered half of it but is about a 2.5 mile trail of Bostons History
Frog Pond Ice Rink: My favorite stop, ice skating out doors. You can visit my blog post here of what I wore
Quincy Market: cutest little shopping area
Samuel Adams Brewery: pictured above
Restaurants & Bars
Boston Public House: We loved this place so much, we went twice. Great food and atmosphere
Union Oyster House: This is on the freedom trail which was the PERFECT stop for their famous clam chowder and corn bread. This restaurant is Americas oldest restaurant which is pretty darn cool. It felt like an old house which was very comfy after a mile walk on the freedom trail
North Street Grill: One of the best brunch places, it had a long wait so be prepared
Mikes Pastry: is a MUST. The best cannoli’s you will ever have. We kind of accidentally ran into this place on the way home when we noticed everyone on the block had a box so we had to try it. You will not regret it. I am craving one as I type this.
Top of The Hub: This was recommended by many but I was not impressed with the food at all. In fact I was so disappointed I wrote a yelp review lol which rarely happens. I mean the view was spectacular but I would recommend looking up the hours to the Sky Walk which is an outside view of the city and much cheaper than the dinner bill. Sadly we went to late and the Sky Walk was closed
Ogawa Coffee: they have the cutest latte art, if you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw the cute snow man, reindeer, and christmas tree
How adorable is this faux fur trim quilted puffer coat. As soon as I laid my eyes on this Ralph Lauren puffer coat, I knew it was the one. I think I fell more in love with the color and the fact that it was Ralph Lauren which can be a timeless piece for many travel winter days to come. This Texas gal did not come prepared to Boston so we made a pit stop to Macys to get some layers on. I haven’t really been a puffer coat fan but lately, I have had my eye on some darling ones like this one in green too. & let me tell you, this Ralph Lauren coat saved my life walking all over Boston and accomplishing the Freedom Trail. Without this puffer coat, I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed Boston as much as I did. I went with such a timeless Khaki color instead of the plain black. The price tag is what really caught my eye if I am going to be honest. Coats can get really expensive, especially when it is during coat season. I saw puffers from all sorts of price ranges but what I really payed attention to was the detail on the coat. I did not want a shiny puffer and one that had a faux hat was a bonus. The price was half off and I couldn’t resist.
I wore this puffer during ice skating at Frog Pond at the beginning of the Freedom Trail. This was one of the activities I had to do in Boston, and I am so glad we did! It was such a blast. Tuesday’s post is dedicated for a recap of Boston and all the activities on our itinerary. Anyway, thanks for stopping by Buttercups! Hope you have a fabulous Monday.
