I created this jacket with you in mind—I wanted to bring you a well-made jacket that fits well, feels great, and makes you feel amazing when you wear it. This line was named after the birth name my parents gave me, Detre! With my dad being an artist & my mom being a flight attendant, they wanted me to have a unique name to carve a unique path. Last year we dropped these everyday denim jackets and they sold so much quicker than we ever thought they would. With so many asking for a restock, we knew we had to bring it back. Jacket Description
The Everyday Denim Jacket is a light wash denim jacket with a slight crop & oversized fit. I wanted to create a denim jacket that was flattering & makes you feel confident. The oversized fit gives you room for comfort but doesn’t take away shape & is a great addition to any wardrobe! I wanted the details to be perfect so we had buttons custom made with “Detre” on them & a gold tag that has our signature on it. The jacket has a raw hem for a casual look & with every wash becomes softer & offers a more lived in look & feel!
Jacket Sizing
The jacket was curated to have a naturally oversized look so if you prefer the oversize fit, I would order your normal jacket size (for reference I normally am a small & I wear a small everyday denim jacket). If you prefer a more fitted look then order down a size. We loved the look of the 80s denim jacket with a balloon sleeve so we incorporated bit of that fit into ours. The jacket fits true to size, but depending on how oversized you want it to be, you can size up or down. We asked some of the girls who ordered the jacket to give a little review so you can see what the different sizes look like on different body types and hear how they fit and style them below!
What’s your favorite thing about the jacket?
It’s perfectly oversized, has a great fit to it, it’s comfortable (I can move my arms freely and don’t feel restricted) and the color is the perfect shade of denim and it has pockets I can actually use!
Why did you buy this denim jacket?
I knew YOU knew what it would take to get a denim jacket to the next level and make it the perfect jacket! I have tons of other denim jackets and while the ones I have aren’t “bad,” they aren’t great either which is why I keep buying different ones to find that perfect one! With Detre I knew there were only going to be a limited amount released and I HAD to have one!
How do you usually style your jacket?
With a dress, skirt and tee, my leggings and a tee, white tee and black jeans! Love how it can be styled up or down and goes with so much!
Why did you buy this denim jacket?
I had been wearing the same denim jacket since 2005 so I figured it was time to upgrade!
What do you think of the fit of the jacket?
I ordered a small and it fit perfectly. It’s oversized enough to roll up the sleeves, not too cropped and I LOVE the wash. That’s probably my favorite thing about the jacket—it’s so hard to find the right wash.
How do you usually style your jacket?
I love wearing with dresses or joggers!
How is the sizing of the jacket?
I think this jacket runs true to size!! I’m 5’3 and ordered a medium and it fits me perfectly.
What do you think about the fit?
I like that’s its slightly cropped but not too much.
How do you usually style your jacket?
My go-to is with maxi dresses. Literally the easiest outfit as a mom! I also love wearing with joggers. My sister has the jacket too and says it’s her favorite jacket to travel in!
What’s your favorite thing about the jacket?
It’s unique in comparison to your average denim jacket because of the fit and the wash which makes it a great addition even if you already have a denim jacket!
Do you think the jacket fits true to size?
Yes, I would definitely say it fits true to size.
I’m 5’2 and normally wear a size smaller but wanted it to be extra oversized so I went one size up!
How do you usually style your jacket?
I usually style it with a dress or a cropped shirt and shorts/pants!
Does the jacket fit true to size?
The jacket has an oversized look/feel. But yes it’s TTS! I usually wear mediums in jackets.
What’s your favorite thing about the jacket?
I love that I was able to rock it before pregnancy and that I’m able to STILL rock it while I’m pregnant! Sizing up as a pregnant person can get so old and it’s nice not to have to do that with this jacket.
How do you usually style the jacket?
I love styling it with a dress or throwing it on top of a sweater with leggings! Love that you can dress it up or down!

Besides being a longtime follower and wanting to support your new venture, I love a good denim jacket and loved the style of this one!

Obesessed with the fit. With it being oversized it’s a super comfortable denim jacket. Perfect cropped length and plenty of room in the arms which I love.

I love to wear it so many ways but wearing over dresses is my fav!
Why did you buy this denim jacket?
I love following you and love your style! I loved both jackets from your first drop but I knew the denim jacket would sell out quickly so I made sure to secure that one. The denim jacket is by far my favorite out of all because it can be worn year round.
What do you think about the fit of the jacket?
I love that the jacket is oversized and a little cropped. That is actually what I love most about the jacket! I feel like it is the perfect length for me and love the overall fit.
How do you usually style the jacket?
Since I’m always busy I don’t always get the chance to spend a lot of time getting ready so I usually just wear it with just a t-shirt and leggings. However, in the spring and summer I love to wear it with dresses!
Do you think the jacket fits true to size?
Yes, but I sized up one! I’m normally a 2X but ended up loving the oversized fit of the 3X better.
What’s your favorite thing about the jacket?
I love that it’s light and comfortable yet doesn’t sacrifice style. It’s cropped which helps accentuate the waist (which I love!) and oversized in the arms to make it an overall comfy fit.
