Eek I am so excited to share our special day with you all. I have so many favorites that I will probably be able to share these every year and still not run out of photos or stories to share about our special day. This years anniversary is near and dear to my heart since it’s our 4th anniversary on August 4th. I am calling it our “Golden Anniversary” since thats what a golden birthday is (age of your birth day), so why not celebrate your anniversary the same way? I told Ted it was our “golden anniversary”  weeks ago and the poor kid googled “what is a golden anniversary” and found nothing. Apparently google doesn’t know whats up!  I especially love that this will be our 4th year on the 4th since 4 is my absolute favorite number. Not only were we married on the 4th (by pure accident, it was Chateau Cocomars opening weekend) but I was born on 4/4. These weird coincidences with 4 are always happening so I wanted to share 4 things I love about my husband.

  1. He leads our family with the Lords guidance and has a passion to share the gospel and know Him well
  2. For loving me unconditionally. Even on my nasty days when I least deserve it.
  3. For being pretty much the coolest, chillest, funniest person I know. Like no one else in the world I want to be around, who has this magnetic personality that I am pretty obsessed with and for some reason never get sick of.
  4. For supporting me with my wildest dreams and taking on a million other tasks just to make it happen

You can also find more info about our wedding as seen on Style Me Pretty. We got married at Chateau Cocomar the opening weekend and shortly after I started to work there as a wedding planner for a couple of years. The venue takes my breathe away every time I step foot in the castle. SO many memories and so many people who have stepped in and out of the venue that has changed my life, most importantly including Karen, the owner. I can go on and on and on about how I found my Oscar De La Renta dream dress, how I was only 20 years old, how Ted sprayed listerine right before our kiss (picture above), how we coordinated a dance with the bridal party and performed it, how I found my bridesmaids dresses in the prom section, how my father passed away 2 months before the wedding and I decided to walk down the aisle alone, how Teds best man (uncle) had cancer and a couple years later he also passed away. Our wedding day has so many stories that I know the Lord all coordinated together to share our testimony that I one day will have the courage to share. I do know that The Lord has blessed the past 4 years with Mr. Teddy Raad and I am so thankful for the life He has created for us. Today on the 4th we are off to celebrate our “golden anniversary” at the Golden Nugget (haha get it?).

I highly recommend watching our wedding video below. I remember watching it over and over and over on our honeymoon. Ted and I are probably all the 5k views.

Happy anniversary to my number one Buttercup! I will love you to the end of our days.
