Lately, I haven’t found a sweater that skipped my heart beat until this one came in the mail. Lame, yes I know, but I mean this sweater is such a winner in my book! I immediately put it on and thought it was so darn comfortable / so on trend. The ruffle sleeves make such a statement but the color and slouchy feel make it even better! The price also had me doing cartwheels.
Along with this sweater, these jeans, and these booties are all my favs! Such good staple pieces in my closest. If you take a look at my IG feed you can see how many times I have worn these jeans. I really do need to keep it cool but they are so flattering!
Anyways, I am headed to get my hair re beaded at Trademark Salon with Carlos! I always have such a good day with the team there! I have natural beaded row extensions and you can find my full post here.
How to Style Your Home Teams Jersey 3 Different Ways:
If you saw on instastories this past weekend, Ted and I went to our first Rockets game of the season and had a blast! I realized that home team jerseys can be so hard to style so I was inspired to write about How to Style Your Home Teams Jersey 3 Different Ways.
White jeans && denim jacket: Love a good pair of white denim + a denim jacket combo! The Rockets red makes the perfect pop
Ripped jeans && tie your jersey: I use to do this in high school and think it’s still such a classic look! I would also wear a cute bralette underneath!
Wear it as a dress with a cardigan: This is actually how I ended up wearing it at the game and got a few compliments!! I ordered a size large for the oversized look and I am 5’3!
All three outfits include the jersey and the iconic Air Force 1 kicks! I think these two are such classics and make such a great duo! I actually always leave the house in some sort of heel so Ted was so confused when I wore Nikes to the game. He kept calling me short but I didn’t really care because my feet were comfortable and needed a good break! Haha!
When Ted and I first started dating back in 2008, he was OBSESSED with the Rockets. Don’t get me wrong, he still is in love with the sport, the team, knows all the stats, etc but we use to go to a game about every week and sit in the same seats! I get nostalgic every time we go to a game now! My late dad and Ted also use to bond over the Rockets so I also can’t help but reminisce about the memories we three had together over our hometown team! Houston will always be home and the Rockets will always have a special place in our hearts!
Ted, Em, and I had sooooo much fun during our Lake Tahoe trip last week! Husband got straight off the plane from South Korea and not even 11 hours later hopped on a plane with us. It was SO MUCH FUN having him around on our trip! Both him and Em make me laugh so much and it’s why I love them so much! We showed up to the airport with a total of 5 bags for 4 nights and 3 people haha not including each of our carry ons! Emily had never seen snow before so it was special to be with her during her first experience!
It was both Ted and I’s first time in Lake Tahoe and we can’t wait to go back! It was sooooooo darn pretty! We stayed at the Ritz Carlton and definitely made our experience so wonderful! We honestly didn’t leave the resort the first couple days because it had everything we needed. It also is walking distance to one of the best ski resorts in the area. The slopes weren’t open yet but how convenient would it be to have a room where you ski all day!
We did eventually make it down to a cute little town called Truckee, where we had dinner at the Tavern and candy apples downstairs at a cute candy shop. We also made it to Mt. Rose for more snow pictures since it ended up melting all away the last couple days. Some photos look cold, but really it was in the 70s and warm as can be! As for the other photos heck yes we were cold and ran right back in the car after we snapped a few shots haha! Hope you enjoy the winter outfits to kick off the new season and our take over on Like to Know it. Seriously, such an honor/dream come true!!
