So lately, I have had this struggle of running around town for meetings / errands then having an event in the evening, aka needing two different outfits. I recently realized that I was putting too much effort into creating two outfits a day! I believe an outfit is all about the shoes, which can make or break a look! I think from office to happy hour, or meetings to events, changing up your shoes can make a world of a difference. I absolutely LOVE running around in my glidesThese loafers are probably the comfiest shoes I own currently, and I prob need to stop wearing them. The color also goes with everything! Transitioning into a night time look, all I did was add a lip color and my all time favorite ankle sandals to match! If there is one trend I am excited about this season, bright color shoes have got me smitten. I have these shoes in sand suede (I want blue and taupe next) and wore the heck out of them last spring / summer since they are easily my comfiest heels to walk in. You have no idea how obsessed I am with these in bright pink and surprisingly, they are currently on sale! I recommend snagging them fast since they already have been restocked once. You are going to notice these shoes a lot this upcoming season, and I probably should apologize in advance.

Of course, Nordstrom is always my number one go-to for the right pair of shoes. Their selection is always up  to date and I LOVE that they are price matching these shoes right now. You will always get a great price and great selection with Nordstrom! I also snagged these glides yesterday from Nordstrom while I was shopping.

Also, I wanted to mention this top real quick because how stinking cute?! The color is perfect for Spring and so is the ruffle sleeves! Anyways, happy hump day! This week is FLYING by. It is the owner of Chateau Cocomar’s birthday, so I am headed to Dallas with the crew to celebrate. Today consists of a spa and steak date, with the team, which I have been looking forward too, all month. Happy Birthday Karen!

It’s definitely wedding season and I know brides have A LOT to shop for. I have rounded up a few of my favorite white dresses that I have had my eye on. If you aren’t a bride, white is still on my mind this season. It’s such a crisp look and you can tell by my IG feed that I have been crushing hard. You can’t go wrong with white, no matter the occasion, unless you are attending a wedding yourself! (lol) Most of you know I was a wedding planner for a couple years and I only had ONE bride stick by that rule. I never even noticed when a guest would wear white because most of my brides did not care, but I remember one special bride that asked a guest to go change since she showed up in white. The craziest part, the guest was her cousin! Gotta love wedding drama!

Ruffles + Thoughts on Shein

Pants: Mimi | Top: Shein | Purse: Henri Bendel  | Earrings: Bauble Bar | Shoes: Sam Edelman (So comfy)

It’s no secret that the color blue and the trend ruffles, have been on my mind lately. I wore this combo to a middle school fundraiser dinner and I actually was matching Ted. As you can imagine, he wasn’t too thrilled that we walked side by side as twins. I begged and begged for him to do a blog post with me matching, but the man prefers to be behind the lens. I thought it was the cutest and got a kick out of it, but he wasn’t amused haha! You probably are confused why we would attend a middle school event since we don’t have kids yet. Well, Ted actually has been a private school Football and Basketball coach at Veritas Christian Academy in Bellaire since he was in High School (10 years ago). His mom was actually the principal at the school and helped start it. Ted LOVES to coach and it is life long dream of his to just coach one day, and my heart flutters every time I watch him  out their coaching those kids. I mean I actually shed tears at games of how proud I am of the man I married, and I know a big part of who he is comes from coaching those boys. I remember attending his games when I was in high school and thinking how cool it was that my boyfriend was the coach haha! Some of the boys that he coached during our dating years actually came to our wedding.

Ok, I need to stop being so mushy about my husband and share about the outfit, lol! I ordered this top from Shein and I was surprisingly impressed with it. I do need to share my thoughts on Shein real quick since I have had tons of questions about them (rightfully so). So Shein is a China based company which can take a while, sometimes months, to ship your products. The prices are UNBEATABLE and sometimes you get what you pay for. I like to think of it as a gamble but I honestly haven’t had a single problem with them yet! Before ordering, I recommend reading reviews, readings blog posts, etc., on sizing of the pieces and if they are worth it. I would NEVER share a piece that I don’t believe fits right,  is of high quality, or don’t like #promise. To be honest, some of my favorite pieces in my closet is from Shein and this top is one of them. You can find some really cute on trend pieces for a great price!

This also would make a really cute work wear outfit! I loved how I kept warm with a head to toe outfit but still very stylish.

Top: Topshop | Shorts: Zara (similar or here) | Purse: Henri Bendel | Shoes: Zara (sale) or similar | Lipstick: gloMinerals | Earrings: Gorjana | Watch: Larsson and Jennings | Bracelet: The Styled Collection

Sometimes, if the tag tells you to wear the top one way, and you like it the other way, switch it! There are no rules in the game of what you wear on yourself. What matters is how you feel in it! If you see how the model is wearing it online, here, you can tell there is no ruching detail. I actually loved the ruched look and preferred the slits in the puff sleeves to be shown on the front. I defiantly could wear it both ways, I wore it the correct way here for the Super Bowl! Point is, wear that top, skirt, dress, etc anyway you want loves! I even had a couple ladies stop to tell me they loved my top yesterday and I of course had to spill the beans of my little backwards secret lol!

Also I wanted to hit on a trend alert, obviously off the shoulder and white are in and here to stay this season, but have you all been noticing bows on the toes? I think “bows on the toes” is kinda the cutest phrase ever lol! Any ways these have been pretty big around here and so have mules / glides. I actually was cleaning out the shoe portion of my closest 4 months ago and stared at my bow flat Steve Maddens (that I have had hoarded since 10th grade) wondering if they will ever come back. Well, they are back and I am so excited for it! I love when shoes can make a statement and these babes are big on my list. These are from Zara and actually are on sale, but pre warning, they did give me tiny blisters.

Well Happy Friday! Any exciting plans? I actually am running around non stop this weekend, but what is new. We have bible study, an event, and a sleep over at Chateau Cocomar tonight – tomorrow I have a blogger conference and a gala – & Sunday we have church, a lunch meeting, and photos! Did I mention it also is moving weekend? I don’t think we will have time to move in so I am thinking next weekend sounds more realistic.

Okkie enjoy!
