Ted and I are huge fans of hotel rooms and try to stay at one every chance we get. We both are also huge family people and are very close to both sides of our big fat arab families. It’s always a battle choosing between staying with family when visiting, to get more extra time together, or get a hotel room for some alone time. If you follow on Instagram and Snapchat you probably saw we were in Dallas a couple of weeks ago for a dear friends wedding. I have three boy cousins and my aunt and uncle live in Dallas so every time we get a chance to visit, we hop on the opportunity. This time my 4 aunts from Houston was also invited to the wedding and they planned on staying at my aunts house. You can imagine the chaos that house was filled with 3 boys, 5 aunts, 1 uncle, and 2 dogs. Ted and I decided last minute that it would be a good idea to get our own space. As much as we would have loved to be in the middle of the chaos, a place to put our head down on a gigantic comfy kind size bed, won.
We are so glad we chose the Westin Downtown Dallas for our stay. The room was unbelievably spacious that we actually treated our 3 cousins to stay with us for one night in the living room. The views are what really sold me. Living in a townhouse we don’t get much of a view so waking up on the 30th floor seeing downtown Dallas in every corner of the room really put a smile on my face. The staff was so friendly and Ted especially loved the unlimited water bottles. That kid could not stop talking about it! Another great part of choosing a hotel room was having our own gym so we could get our sweat session in. We had no excuse on Saturday morning before brunch to work on growing those muscles. You can find a list of my favorite activities/ places to eat in Dallas here. This was the dress I wore to the wedding that I was so in love with! The white dress above was the perfect brunch dress after our work out before the wedding!
PS. Sorry for the delayed post lovelies! It has been a mad house in the Raads household with our crazy weekend and trying to leave tomorrow out of the country. I have so many errands to get done and pack before we leave. We decided that we MIGHT leave tomorrow instead of Thursday so we can add Madrid to our itinerary. We will see if that actually happens! We are such last minute travelers it is a blessing and the most stressful thing ever. Anyways- I do want to note for the next two to three weeks, I most likely will only be posting Monday, Wednesday, Friday! I want to soak in as much as I can on our trip to Portugal, Spain, and Ireland. Thank you loves for following along!
Our summer wedding season has officially come to an end and boy am I sad about it. Tonight is our last nuptials to witness and I am thinking about wearing this dress so thought it would be perfect timing to share. I wore this dress to my best friends rehearsal dinner a couple weeks back and got so many compliments it was unreal. Yes, I am human and wear outfits more than once but it’s a tie between this or this. I think the drop waist, high neck, cutout and lace details speak for itself on this darling dress. The lavender color is also a big bonus. Oh and its on sale today!
What are you all up to this weekend? We have a going away dinner, wedding, birthday party, graduation party, blog anniversary brunch, and a graduation all this weekend. These weekends are some of my favorites filled with so much love with family and friends but also SO EXHAUSTING. I would call my self an extrovert but party hoping is no joke. I feel like we have had a handful of weekends like this. Oh and the hubs is teaching on Sunday at church so sermon prepping for him too! Happy Friday – we survived the week together 🙂
Yes you are seeing these shorts again but no I am not here to talk about the shorts. I do want to note that they had all sizes yesterday and only down to a couple today so snatch them while you can! Anyways -when I got this top in the mail I squealed a little bit of how stinking cute it is. Then when I got this black satchel in the mail the next day, I squealed even louder. This satchel is the perfect chic go to bag that luckily hasn’t been worn on every persons arm, yet, making it so unique. I have been on the hunt for the perfect black bag and I think Henri Bendel nailed it with this new design (also 10% off). I tried bringing the black and white striped mock top with the bag down to summers level with some distressed denim and bright pink lips. I think this is one of my favorite looks to date.
I also believe this top will be the perfect Barcelona top so i’m going to try to fit it into my suite case. Did I mention we are only bringing carry ons? That means this blogger is going to have the hardest time but lets see if I can make this work. I never check in my bag but this is going to be a trip unlike any other. If you have any recommendations to make this work please hook a girl up. I also would love to hear your must sees, dos, eats for Lisbon, Barcelona, Ibiza, and Dublin. Comment below!
You can tell I was headed to the beach this day because I have zero accessories on. I typically am a minimalist when it comes to jewelry but sometimes no accessories can be refreshing. I titled this my typical uniform since I have noticed I have gravitated towards white tops lately. It has been my go to and I am loving square neck top and embroidered details (gah its so cute)! I also am loving some jean shorts and the wash on this babe is pretty darn cute. I also fell in love with the sale price which is now under thirty bucks and still comes in plenty of sizes.
Speaking of sales, I wanted to discuss the Nordstrom Sale coming up next week (if you are a card member). If you have noticed, I am a sucker for Nordstrom and this sale gets me every time. So much that I am so mad we scheduled our flight out of the country the same day as the sale (that will never happen again). So sadly I won’t be available to continuously share my sale finds with you all BUT I am going to try my best even while we are traveling. I suggest following along on Instagram since I most likely will be posting on there since its easiest. I also will only post MWF the week of the 18th and I’ll be sure to remind you all! Bummed I am going to be missing out on the Nordstrom sale but excited for our next adventure #bloggerstruggle
